Zaradi vi\u0161jih temperatur se pove\u010duje izguba vode s potenjem. V primeru blage dehidracije lahko pomaga \u017ee samo pove\u010dan vnos \u010diste vode. Na\u0161e telo je namre\u010d samo sposobno v relativno kratkem \u010dasu nadomestiti izgubo elektrolitov. \u010ce pa na primer izgubimo ve\u010d kot 5 odstotkov normalnega volumna vode, je priporo\u010dljivo pitje izotoni\u010dnih pija\u010d.<\/p>\n<p>Ob tem pa je vsekakor potrebno odpraviti vzroke za pove\u010danje izgube teko\u010dine. Zaradi dodanega sladkorja pa imamo neredko tudi ob\u010dutek, da nas kljub pitju \u0161e vedno daje \u017eeja. Pred tekom se prav tako nujno izogibajte sestavinam, ki dehidracijo lahko samo \u0161e pospe\u0161ijo. To pomeni, da ne smete zau\u017eivati alkohola ter kofeina. Tudi za nekatera zdravila je zna\u010dilno, da pospe\u0161ujejo dehidracijo, na primer antihistamini. Pred aktivnostjo pa je neza\u017eelena tudi uporaba antiperspirantov, ker prepre\u010dujejo potenje.
